Elymus hoffmannii (RS hybrid wheatgrass)

Formerly Elytrigia repens x Pseudoroegneria spicata. Cool season, drought tolerant, long-lived, weakly rhizomatous sod-forming perennial. Hybrid cross combining the palatability of Bluebunch wheatgrass (P. spicata) with the productive and vigorous growth of Quackgrasss (E. repens), but without aggressive spreading. Adapted to most soils including moderately saline sites. Highly productive, nutritious and palatable. Recovers quickly from grazing, haying. Useful on both irrigated and non-irrigated pasture and range sites. Varieties listed below.
